Primarily reviewing for their cover of Matt Kozelek/Desertshore's "You Are Not My Blood", because that's just how great that song is. Gutter Gods and the title track to start offer a good juxtaposition to the slow, clean sludge of the final track. I was fond of their additions of these qualities to the latest record, and would love to hear them explore the contrast of the two fighting spirits- slow sludge rock, and pummeling hardcore- more. autodidact904
Former members of the great band SubRosa return as The Otolith, and their debut LP finds them at the peak of their mighty powers. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 24, 2022
I don't mean to be a "first albums only" elitist or anything of the sort since I didn't even discover these guys til maybe a year and change ago, but truth be told- the demo tracks are my favorites despite Deafheaven's undeniable growth and evolution into a broader sort of awesome. satangutsandchristcorpsepaint
